About
I’m Piyush Longjam, a visual storyteller specializing in photography and videography. My journey began with a simple curiosity about cameras and the stories they could capture. When I moved to Dehradun for my studies, I discovered my school’s photography club and joined it out of pure curiosity. That decision marked the beginning of a creative path that would soon become a defining part of my life.
I started exploring photography in the 6th grade, and what began as curiosity quickly turned into passion. Participating in and winning several inter-school competitions gave me early encouragement and reinforced my desire to keep creating. One of the most meaningful moments of that journey was when my parents gifted me my first camera. It wasn’t just a piece of equipment—it was the start of my exploration into visual storytelling.
In the 10th grade, my creative journey expanded into videography when my cousin, who runs a cloud kitchen, asked me to create a promotional video for his business. What began as a small project introduced me to the powerful medium of film and storytelling. Through that experience, I realized that photography captures moments, while videography brings those moments to life.
Since then, I have continued developing my craft by working on visual storytelling projects ranging from brand shoots to cinematic reels and hospitality storytelling. My work is deeply inspired by the emotional depth of photography and the narrative power of film.
Now, having graduated from the International Baccalaureate program, I am focused on growing as a visual creator—combining storytelling, aesthetics, and strategy to create compelling visual experiences.
For me, photography and videography are more than creative outlets. They are a way to observe the world closely, tell meaningful stories, and connect people through visuals.
